EFT For Stress Management and Relief...

Using EFT For The Management Of Stress

Information overload a major cause of stress.  The need for effective stress management is greater then ever before.

It strikes me that in today’s world stress is a huge problem which is spiraling out of control as the pace of life keeps speeding up. This begs the question, "Why is this so, and what is causing increasing stresses in our existence?"

EFT For Stress: Wherever we go we are bombarded with all kinds of information whether we like it or not. There is more information about anything and everything more readily available then ever before. And of this information needs to be digested/ processed in order for us to be up to date on subjects like politics, culture, hobbies, fashion etc.

Well, at least that is what we believe we need to do in order to be taken seriously.

In the office, just sifting through one’s e-mails every day can be a major stressor, particularly when one is busy. Having to read, or at the very least scan-read 50 + e-mails each morning, before you can even begin to think about the day’s work is tedious and distracting, and certainly adds to the stressor factor on a busy appointment filled day.

In the past we only needed to concern ourselves with the events going on in our immediate environment. We did feel more in control, as we had some form of direct influence on our own environment... and the effects of this ability to control our own environment would be visible to us immediately, whenever action was taken.

EFT For Stress: A great sense of personal security comes just from knowing that our environment responds to our personal interventions, interaction with others is pleasurable whenever we can observe the results.

Working in a much smaller environment also made prioritizing much easier. There was no need to worry about news from the other side of the world.

Of course now that news from around the globe is brought into our homes and offices everyday all of this has changed, and with it insecurity and frustration has increased. After all most of the things we see on television are completely beyond our control. We cannot influence the politics at the other end of the world, no matter how compassionate we may feel.

EFT For Stress: This causes stress. Ninety-five percent (95%) of this stress occurs on a subconscious level rather then a fully cognitive level. However, whichever way we are exposed to stress (subconscious or conscious) it is still stress non-the-less.  It has a profound effect on our health.

Stuffing unpleasant things away in the subconscious is the conscious mind's way of “dealing” with un-pleasantries. What this really means though is that these stressors are not being dealt with at all.

EFT For Stress: Dealing With Information Overload

Ignoring anything does not make it go away though. Quite on the contrary! Sooner or later the proverbial barrel overflows and its contents spills onto the floor (e.g. the new phenomena of road rage).  When this happens we simply shut down, Our minds and bodies can’t take anymore.

We either become ill (needing time out to rest) or we turn into zombies going through the motions in a dispassionate, disinterested fashion... becoming critical and negative about the most unimportant things.

We have difficulty articulating why we feel how we feel, and this can cause even more frustration and discomfort. In other words MORE Stress.

EFT For Stress: So, how do we deal with this constant influx of information without creating these negative side effects?  We tackle this problem in two ways, externally and internally. Doing both simultaneously gets the best results.

Let's look at the external solution first.

It may sound obvious when I suggest that you reduce the information you take on board. You may also think it is impossible to do so, but that is just a lazy excuse. How many newspaper do your REALLY need to read? How often do you need to watch the TV news. Do you really need to read each and every e-mail that lands in your inbox (or do you just hit the delete button)?

What would happen if you missed out on some apparently important news?  Would it affect you, your family or your business in any way? The most probable answer is “NO”.

It is highly probable that any news affecting your life directly will reach you in plenty of time to allow you to react in an appropriate manner, and if you can’t react to it or have any influence over these events does it matter when you find out about them.

It really is basic as this, believe me.

Just try it for a few days and notice the difference. You will feel less pressurized and also a lot happier too.

EFT For Stress: Internal Stress Management

Personally I believe anyone who is experiencing any kind of stress would benefit from training the mind to become calmer, less busy and more relaxed.

You may want to set aside 20 minutes or so per day to do just that. You could simply practice focusing on your objective: Becoming stress free and calm and using EFT to help you focus and energize.

EFT For Stress: Listening to stress relief tapes or CDs is a powerful way to relax, particularly if these CDs balance both sides of the brain, or use subliminal messages to affirm the positive things in your life.

These types of CD reach the subconscious and gradually filter through to your conscious mind changing old behavior patterns over time, as well as creating new, better and self-nurturing beliefs.

If you want results fast then consider attending an EFT workshop to learn mental focus and how to use different types of energy techniques to get those radiant energies flowing well throughout your body.

It is most important to have the energies flowing well. In fact it is a pre-requisite for helping the brain to assimilate new information freely, and to be more creative and relaxed.

EFT For Stress: A proper stress management regime employed on a regular basis could be compared to training to run a marathon. You get stronger and better at it as you keep practicing. In time you will not even think about it as something you have to remember to do. It becomes automatic, in the same way that getting out of bed, getting dressed and eating breakfast.

Using mental energy techniques regularly, positively feeds body and mind. Your body and mind will both thank you for this attention with increased health, happiness and stamina.
